Like many others, I was wowed by some of the performances at the Olympic trials earlier this summer… and now we have the Olympics on at our house 24-7.

Back at the Olympic trials, I loved Gabby Thomas’ performance in the 200m, where she placed first and ran the distance in 21.61 seconds (the third fastest time in history). Equally impressive, Gabby is not only an Olympic athlete, but she also is a Harvard graduate who is working toward a master’s degree in epidemiology (how timely!). As I continue to watch and be wowed by female Olympic athletes, I am reminded that they are not only athletes: they are students, daughters, and likely businesswomen in the making….all with tremendous grit.
