Super Bowl Hacks

For those of us who are fans of high-octane sports and tremendous musical performances, the Super Bowl is cause for excitement annually irrespective of who is playing.

I have lifelong memories of the Chicago Bears’ 1986 Super Bowl appearance as famous for their win as the Super Bowl Shuffle; I had a tremendous amount of fun with my brother Jeff at Super Bowl XLI in 2006 when the Bears played the Colts in spite of their loss.

(As a lifelong Chicagoan, needless to say, Go Cubs and Go Bears!)

But what makes the Super Bowl memorable even in times of Covid in addition to the Halftime show, the commercials, the players, and the teams? THE FOOD, OBVIOUSLY!

Here are some of Hal’s and my favorite game-day indulgences-great whether serving just the family in these ongoing times of quarantine-or more if you are so lucky.

AJR’s Favorite DIY Super Bowl Menu (and Related Recipes):

(1) World’s greatest guacamole
(2) Wings, Wings, Wings
(3) Pigs in a Blanket
(4) All things pizza
(5) Queso and ground beef dip with chips

This year, I’m proud to be rooting for my dear friend’s son, Nick Allegretti. Go Chiefs!
