#hacksnewsletter: The Way She Leads

Lana Krasnyansky has been a decade-long colleague and friend. That she is now at co-author of a book that just hit the number one best seller list is just too cool. Wanted you to hear about it here first and hear her “why” ASAP!
Q&A Feature: The Way She Leads

Why did you write this chapter?
I was invited by my former TriNet colleague, Morgan Massie, to contribute a chapter to her newest book, The Way She Leads. Once I understood the vision behind the book, it was clear I wanted to be part of it.

After 25 years in human resources and business leadership, I’ve seen how leadership evolves as we grow, not just professionally, but personally. My chapter explores leadership through the lens of HR and ultimately defines how we show up, how we influence, and how we stay grounded in who we are. It felt like the right moment to share the lessons, pivots, and perspectives that have shaped my own leadership journey.

I was especially grateful that Alyssa, someone who has consistently inspired me through conviction and extraordinary accomplishments, read the chapter first. Her thoughtful edits and heartfelt reflections made the piece even stronger. Having Alyssa’s imprint on it is an honor.

What makes this book unique?
The Way She Leads brings together the voices of 18 women: leaders, entrepreneurs, mothers, daughters, and visionaries from all walks of life.
What makes it special is its authenticity. Each chapter is a deeply personal story about resilience, growth, and leadership in its many forms. It’s inspiring, relatable, and already resonating widely becoming the #1 New Release on launch day and reaching Bestseller status by day two.

What are the key takeaways?
Readers will walk away with powerful reminders:

  • Authenticity in leadership — showing up as yourself is your greatest tool.
  • Owning your voice — intimidation and doubt don’t get to decide your path.
  • Embracing the pivot — changing direction can be the smartest, healthiest move you make.
  • Knowing your “why” — clarity fuels purpose.
  • Leading with intention — at home, at work, and in your community, you have the power to inspire.
