Happy 2025! My how fast time flies. I like to use the new year as an opportunity to reset, reprioritize, refocus. Here are a few of the tactics I find helpful for an annual reset, in case they are helpful to you to. Cheers to a great year for YOU!
(1) Monday Juice Cleanses
I usually do juice cleanses on the first Monday of each month. In January, I try to do them each Monday. I always recommend your best fresh local juice purveyor (eg ours is TrueJuice (https://g.co/kgs/GAXgLHf); every city has its own, but Hal found this Costco option that also seems worth trying: https://www.costco.com/pulp-and-press-3-day-organic-cold-pressed-juice-cleanse.product.4000064204.html).
Whether you juice-only or add salad/ vegetables/protein, I like the excuse for the vitamin/mineral flush and general cleanse in January.
And in our house we pair it with dry “half” January (first two weeks of the month being exceedingly doable).
(2) Daily Meditation
I have a love – hate relationship with meditation, never fully able to achieve the elusive state of Nirvana so many seem to attain via the practice. So instead, I am merely attempting to get better at it with the 5-10 minute daily, guided meditations via the Peloton app. Aditya is my favorite; sleep meditations are where I excel the most (lowest bar :). Gott start somewhere with all new things…
(3) Two a Days Wherever Possible
I love /swear by my morning workouts, whether running or lifting. Whenever possible to squeeze in an extra 30 minutes later in the day in the new year. Whether a working walk, quick run, yoga, quick 15 minute core, etc., I do so.
Start strong, finish stronger, each day, each week, each month, each year…
Happy New Year!
