#thisis11

With an avid tennis player and lover in Audrey Morris, it seemed only apropos to skip a traditional birthday party and head to the women’s finals at the US Open in honor of Audrey’s 11th birthday. What a match we saw! Coco Gauff handily defeated Aryna Sabelenka for her first grand slam title. To boot, Ms. Audrey was interviewed by NBC about Coco. It was quite a day. Here are three things we were reminded about life when attending the US Open in honor of Audrey’s 11th birthday:

  1. Start Strong, Finish Stronger
    • Every time, always
  2. It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over
    • Your opponent might find a last bit of gas -never assume you have won til you have
  3. Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff/Count Your Blessings
    • Cancelled flights, etc.- no big deal in the name of a great adventure or life experience
